Why CAA Advocacy?

CAA contributes to the third leading cause of stroke (intracranial hemorrhage) and is not well publicized.

There is currently no registered CAA advocacy group in the U.S.

There is currently no FDA approved treatment for CAA.

Our goals include:

-Consolidate the resources in the US for patients and families affected by CAA

-Connect with the international CAA community

-Utilize the known genetic mutations to encourage patients to be tested for a genetic mutation, enroll in research databases and clinical studies

-Connect with researchers involved in other neurologic conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease for overlapping research opportunities

-Fundraise to support research
